The Grande Cache Chamber of Commerce has a dynamic and energetic Board of Directors with a wide and diverse set of skills.
Rick Bambrick: President
Richard is a Registered Professional Forest Technologist. He worked 32 years with Environment and Sustainable Resource Development in Wabasca, Slave lake, Wandering River, High Level, Fort Chipewyan and Hinton. He retired from the government service in 2002.
He is the owner of Arctos Resource Service as a Forestry Consultant and also provides assistance for small business for developments on Crown lands, with regards to Sand and Gravel, Tourism Opportunities, and the acquisition of other Permits and Leases.
Richard and his wife Sharon moved to Grande Cache in 2011 and have both worked locally for the last 2 years. Richard is active in the community by participating on the Municipal Planning Committee for Grande Cache and more recently on the Grande Cache Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Richard is interested in the growth potential and possibilities for Grande Cache and hopes to participate in the efforts to bring small business together and see Grande Cache develop and prosper from within its own boundaries. “Shopping local”, appreciating and encouraging local business owners, as well as supporting in-home businesses to look for that “store front” opportunity will benefit Grande Cache in the end.
Lynn Carpenter: Treasurer
Lynn Carpenter is a Certified General Accountant providing personal and small business services including income tax preparation and bookkeeping which includes GST filing, payroll filing, general business support and support for any government demands or interactions. She also provides support for Sage 50 accounting software including installation, training, troubleshooting and general support. She also volunteers as the treasurer of COPE. She operates as Lynn Carpenter CGA.
Sharon Bambrick: Secretary
Sharon Bambrick moved to Grande Cache with her Husband Richard Bambrick in 2010. Her company is called Praxis Consulting Services. Praxis specializes in workshops and consulting services, which includes teaching tools and strategies for successful living. Sharon is a Registered Social Worker, Certified Lifeskills Coach, Commissioner of Oaths, and a Legal Assistant. She is a master facilitator with the Pacific Institute, a facilitator of the ColourSpectrums workshops, and Laughter Yoga.
Sharon is currently contracted with the Aseniwuche Winewak as their Job Coach. She has written several programs for the Government of Alberta and was co-founder of the highly successful “Skills at Work” program in northern Alberta. Her background of many years experience with Northern Lakes College, FCSS, NAIT, RCMP, Women’s Shelter, Crisis Worker, Outreach Worker, Family services coordinator has given Sharon the tools to reach people; be it individuals or in groups, and create positive change.
Ken Fate: Director
Ken Fate is a past Grande Cache trustee on the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division Board of Directors. Grande Yellowhead maintains funding at a divisional level and was responsible for school facility infrastructure including classrooms, gymnasiums, playfields and play structures across the division. Ken is a long time resident of Grande Cache.
Susan Feddema-Leonard: Past President
Susan, a Registered Nurse, has spent three decades on the pack trail, riding the Rocky Mountains in the Willmore Wilderness Park and Jasper National Park in Alberta and British Columbia. She is co-owner of High Country Vacations Ltd.
Susan is also the business owner of Great Divide Consulting Inc., which has been in operation since 1987. She has been a member of the Grande Cache Chamber of Commerce since 1989. Susan is also on the Past President of Women in Film and Television Alberta.
Susan is an author, film producer, editor and cinematographer. She has produced numerous documentaries about the people and peaks of Willmore Wilderness Park and surrounding area. She is the founder of People & Peaks Productions and the a co-founder of the Willmore Wilderness Foundation
